Junie Morrison is a producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.  He is a self-motivated member of the funk music aristocracy with a vibrant, subcultural fan-base.  Millions more listeners have heard Junie’s music and felt his influential vibe, without knowing that he is the force behind some of their most favorite songs and artists of all time. 

This highly respected, often imitated and sometimes misunderstood artist is well known for his non-conformist music styles which range from deep funk and rhythm and blues to club and dance music that will occasionally border on the avant-garde.  Morrison also has a singular reputation for the quirky humor that he often incorporates into his productions. 

In his capacity as producer, Junie Morrison has worked with some of the most prolific recording artists on the planet, spanning the U.S. to Europe.  He is a former member of the Ohio Players, where he was responsible for producing three extremely successful albums that spawned a number of commercial hits, including the unconventional and distinctive, Funky Worm and the powerfully soulful Ecstasy.  Morrison also did a tenure with Parliament-Funkadelic where he co-penned and produced several celebrated albums and chart hits that included the ever popular (Not Just) Knee Deep and One Nation Under A Groove. 

Morrison’s stunning solo projects include seven legendary albums, many of which have been critically acclaimed, plus some rare funk grooves under the pseudonym of J.S. Theracon. His most recent albums, released at the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2010 are future facing groove-fests entitled When The City and Copying Atlantis as alter-ego BoyInSea. 

Morrison is a Dove Award winner who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 along side George Clinton and other prominent members of the Parliament-Funkadelic family.
